Three women sitting in a fountain in a park, with a statue of an angel above them. The women are smiling and appearing to enjoy their time together, with lush green trees and a blue sky with clouds in the background.

Fragments at 19

These are two of my earliest writings, created when I was just 19. They aren’t polished — they were written straight from heartbreak, imagination, and instinct — but even then, I found myself weaving stories in the language of kingdoms, thrones, angels, and crowns.

Her Throne, Her Law and Ego’s Kingdom are fragments of that moment: half poem, half story, a little Renaissance, a little rebellion. Looking back, I see now that I was already searching for meaning through symbolism, power, and absurdity — the same threads that shape my work today.
